Soccer KC, also known as SCCRKC, is Kansas City’s grassroots hub for adult soccer—offering leagues, pickup games, and community-powered events both on and off the field.

We believe soccer should be fun, fair, and accessible — whether you’re out to win or just want to play under the lights with friends.

 

SCCRKC was built for adults who want more than a casual kickaround, but less than a full-on club commitment.

Games are organized. Teams are welcoming. And everyone’s here to play.


Here’s what we offer:

  1. Leagues – Refereed 7v7 games played weekly over 9-week sessions.
  2. Pickup – Casual 8v8 games organized by our staff at the pitch.
    Plus: fun, community-driven soccer events for players and fans alike.

Mission

Our goal is to make soccer accessible for the entire community by fostering a shared passion for the sport and providing dedicated active spaces for the game.

Our Story

Mike Shorman spent years playing and organizing adult soccer right here in Kansas City — building connections, chasing wins, and showing up week after week for the love of the game.

Then life took him to Atlanta, where he experienced an even bigger soccer community: more organized leagues, stronger competition, and a sense of belonging that stayed with him.

When he came back to KC, he knew exactly what he wanted to create.

 

SCCRKC was born out of that vision — combining Kansas City’s heart with the structure and energy of a thriving soccer community. It’s not just about games. It’s about building something that lasts.

And now? It’s growing. Week by week. Game by game. Player by player.
